Man Denies Complaining About Masturbating Mario Happy Meal Toy

An apparently furious father who claimed a Mario 'Happy Meal' toy appeared to be making gestures associated with pleasuring oneself over images of female popstars is the victim of a prank, it's claimed, with a friend somehow tricking the national press into thinking a dad thought a toy was being rude.

The wanking Mario news went rather viral this week, with the likes of The Mirror claiming that dad Tyler Atfield witnessed the hand shape and associated motions of the Mario toy and confiscated it from his three-year-old daughter.

Papers quoted "Horrified father Tyler Atfield" at length about the wanking Mario figure, who apparently said: "I was very concerned because it looked completely inappropriate, I was not happy. They should not be giving out toys that look like that. My kids started doing the action and it was so wrong."

However, Atfield now claims his quoted quotes were... not his. The actual Tyler Atfield contacted his local paper to put the story straight, explaining: "It’s all a big practical joke that someone has played on me. It couldn't be another Tyler Atfield because I am 25 and I have five kids and I live in St Budeaux. I don't have a clue who’s done it. I just can’t believe it, it’s made me embarrassed to go out on the street to be honest."

So no making rude hands gestures at Tyler, OK? [Plymouth Herald]
