A quite astonishingly well-stocked film and TV auction is set to take place in the UK this September, offering for sale such one-off pieces as Leonard Nimoy’s Spock costume, Christopher Reeves' Superman cape and the actual layer of prosthetic skin applied to poor old unmasked Vader in Return of the Jedi.
Other incredible items up for grabs include a copy of the Grays Sports Almanac from Back To The Future Part II, which is expected to sell for around £6,000, plus James Bond's Hero P99 & Silencer from Tomorrow Never Dies (£10k estimated value), a dalek from the current run of Doctor Who (£6,000) and a stormtrooper helmet from The Empire Strikes Back with a price tag of around £60,000 attached to it.
You can also buy one of Arnie's Terminator jackets, although it's only from Terminator 3, so is likely to raise about £12:
The auctioneers are keen to point out that it's not just shuffling one-off items from the hands of filmmakers and light-fingered crew members to the trophy cabinets of the super rich, claiming there's going to be stuff for sale on the cheap too, with buyers able to get props from films like Monty Python and the Holy Grail for around the few hundred quid mark.
