Jony Ive, the man behind the iconic designs of everything from the Macbook to the iPhone has been trying his hand at a new part of Apple's business: Retail.
According to Wired, the first Apple store in Brussels has just opened and is apparently designed by Ive himself - who has spent the last few months working with Apple's head of retail Angela Ahrendts. Whilst it may not appear too dramatically different from other stores, what is notable is both use the use of curved glass and massive 26ft panels.
Ive was recently 'promoted' to be the company's Chief Design Officer, a fairly ambiguous title that suggested he was moving away from day to day involvement in much of Apple's design (he was previously rumoured to be planning to leave the company).
Whether we can read anything into this remains to be seen (we almost definitely can't), but I'm going to use this an excuse to wildly speculate that the iPhone 7 will have a curved glass screen, and a tiny shop selling iPhones for inside of it. [TechInsider, Wired and 9to5Mac)
