When a company announces a new phone, it generally comes with a tech event. It’s true of Apple, Samsung, LG, and every other smartphone maker out there — except for Google. The Nexus phones usually just come out quietly with a press release and availability in the Google Store. That might be changing this year.
According to a new report, Google may actually hold a press event on September 29 to announce its LG and Huawei Nexus phones. We already know lots and lots and lots about these phones, but it’ll be interesting to see if LG can make lightning strike again with its Nexus smartphone and if Nexus is Huawei’s magic ticket into the hearts of American consumers.
The report comes from CNET, which is reporting from the ever popular source people familiar with the company’s plans. So to say this was an unsubstantiated rumour would be an understatement, but let’s have some fun. What are you hoping for on Google’s next two smartphones? [CNET]
