Luna Moon Lamp is Out Of This World

Check out the cool new lamp which has been designed by Taiwan-based Acorn studios. Available in seven sizes it has already smashed its IndieGogo target six times over - so could soon be lighting up your life.

The makers say that "The moon has been a divine and enchanting symbol in human history, and it brings you mystery, delight, relief and romance. Luna unveils the potential of a space.".

The lantern is designed to replicate the moon's texture, and it is made from latex and fibreglass. Apparently it is durable and lightweight so can be used both inside and outside. (The bulb in the centre, which can be LED or Halogen, is powered by batteries.) It is apparently also water and heat resistant.

If you want one, it starts at $75 (£50ish) for the 3.2" version, and goes all the way up to $875 (£575ish) for the "XXL" version, which comes in at 23.6" in diameter. So pricey, but cool looking none the less.

The company hopes to deliver the first batch next March. You can pick one up on IndieGogo. [Creative Boom]
