Now you can carry around 62 of the Earth's known chemical elements in one handy cube, thanks to a new product, the Element Cube, from Belfast product design Cillian McMinn.
He has created what is believed to be the world's largest alloy - mashing together over all the known elements in one block that can be safely turned into a desk toy (minus radioactive materials), and it won't even explode or burn your hands off.
Quite what you would do with such a cube remains to be seen. Perhaps you're a nerd wanting to catch 'em all, or maybe you're planning an intergalactic mission and want to teach any aliens you encounter about the elements that we have mastered?
If you don't just want a cube, Cillian is also making jewellery out of the alloy, including necklaces and bracelets.
“Elements are a popular thing to collect, but people rarely build a full collection due to the high prices and the decades it takes to complete!” says Cillian, who apparently had the idea when walking through Ulster Museum’s natural history collections and their current Elemental! exhibition.
The cube will be available from October 1st this year through Cillian’s Kickstarter page, and will set you back £50 if you want one.
