There's Already an iPhone 6s Teardown

By Chris Mills on at

The iPhone 6S won't be available for another hour or so (when the Apple Stores open), but it's already been out in Australia for a few hours. Let the iFestivities begin.

Thanks to iExperts, we also have our first peek at the new iPhone’s guts. According to them, there’s not a whole mountain of differences: the screen is now glued differently to the housing; more foam around the connectors on the inside; and stronger support for the screen, to account for all that pressing you’re about to do.

Apart from that, the differences are what you’d expect: slightly changed camera modules, the new A9 processor, and a slightly smaller battery. We’re still waiting on iFixit’s prettier teardown, but in the meantime, there’s plenty of silicon porn to get stuck into.
