In exactly two months time, the latest long-awaited instalment to the Star Wars saga, The Force Awakens, will arrive in cinemas. So it's fitting that today is the day that Disney reveals a brand new poster, and information about the last trailer we'll see before release day.
First things first, here's the brand new poster in glorious high definition:

As you can see, barring a couple of exceptions, its filled with a whole host of old and new characters. Every single character anyone actually cares about, other than Luke Skywalker who remains suspiciously absent. There's also a very Death Star-looking thing in the top right corner. It's been rumoured that the Imperials have some sort of super weapon, and it looks like this is it. Some have even speculated that the Imperial's base of operations, Starkiller Base, is very literally named.
Lucasfilm also revealed that a new trailer (which is assumed to be the last trailer) will air during ESPN's Monday Night Football (sic) tomorrow night. That means you should wake up on Tuesday morning with a brand new Star Wars trailer for you to drool over on YouTube.
It was also revealed that tickets for showing will go on sale immediately after the trailer airs. That appears to be a US-only thing, but it's likely that tickets will go on sale here in the UK quite soon. [Star Wars via io9]
