A girl who was pressured into sending naked photos to the vice-principal of her school has won a compensation claim, making this the first time someone's won damages for the psychological harm caused by being effectively groomed into sending rude snaps.
The grim case covers William Whillock, who was vice-principal of The New School in Sevenoaks, Kent. Over the course of a year Whillock encouraged the girl to send him increasingly explicit images, ending up in possession of 20 -- and finding himself arrested in front of the children when staff discovered the communications between the pair on the girl's mobile.
Whillock was found guilty and given a three-year community sentence, with the victim launching a separate claim for compensation -- and winning. [BBC]
