This Slow-Motion Fire Tornado Will Put You in a Spin

Vortices formed of fire are great and all, but as this new video by the SlowMo Guys beautifully illustrates, these pyromaniacal pillars take on a completely new complexion when seen in slow motion.

Gav and Dan created the fire tornado, also known as a fire whirl, by positioning a dozen fans around a kerosene fire pit. The slow motion video, shot at 2,500 fps and 1,000 fps, gives the flames an almost textural quality.
