What Actually is... the Sussex Bigfoot?

By Gary Cutlack on at

The agricultural hotbed of the South Downs is at the centre of a media storm at the moment, with local journalists pretending that a blurry black lump spotted in the woods might be some sort of... of... monster.

The above photograph of some sort of furry aberration was taken by dog-walker Caroline Toms, who spotted the "creature" while out with her pet Ash. It was Ash who first spotted the... the... thing, with the dog "...acting a little bit bemused and barking." Toms continued: "Then she quick as a flash shot off into the undergrowth -- then I saw this big black thing flash out in front of me."

She added a bit too much information -- one of the key tells when compiling an enormous lie about monsters for the benefit of the world's media, saying: "I only had my camera out because I was taking pictures of Ash playing. She came running back quick-as-a-flash though. I don't know what it was, but when I had a closer look at the pictures, it certainly does look like Bigfoot to me."

But we didn't ask you why you had your camera out, Miss Toms. A spokesman for the Angmering Park Estate, where the blurry blob was photographed, said: "It's a massive estate but this is the first we have seen of any Bigfoot-type 'things.'"  [Quirker via Huffington Post]
