Did You Spot Daniel Craig's Cameo in Star Wars: The Force Awakens?

By Gary Cutlack on at

Earlier this year, James Bond actor Daniel Craig was rumoured to have shot a scene for The Force Awakens in which he played a stormtrooper, what with Spectre shooting just down the corridor at Pinewood Studios last year.

That old rumour that now comes with scene notes and his apparent lines, so you can see if it's really him. It's a bit of a low-level SPOILER for one of the film's many call-backs to the original trilogy, mind you, so here's some blank space first:

According to Entertainment Weekly, Craig isn't just any old stormtrooper. He has words to say. He is, allegedly, the stormtrooper upon which Daisy Ridley’s character Rey attempts the old jedi mind trick, with Craig replying with the words: "I’ll tighten those restraints, scavenger scum."

Although, being in a stormtrooper mask and with his voice a bit robotised, it's going to be quite hard to recognise him, tell for real or prove, so this may well end up being one of the future generation's Interesting Myths About The Force Awakens, trotted out when Episode XIII is announced.
