Actor Shia LaBeouf is holding his latest
publicity stunt artistic performance in Liverpool, and is inviting people to give him a ring. On a phone. Like a regular guy. All you have to do is punch 0151 808 0771 into your blower and tap the green button.
LaBeouf, who clearly hates all of the attention he successfully seeks, has teamed up with artists Nastja Sade Ronkko and Luke Turner to set up a call centre in the city’s Fact gallery. He’s presumably pretending to be a normal person, and will be
posing working from 11am to 6pm GMT from Thursday to Sunday. He's labelled the whole weird thing 'Touch My Soul', which is pretty much as horrific as a title can get.
If you’re really bored, you can either head to Fact gallery to watch LaBeouf and co do their thing, or tune in from your bedroom via Touchmysoul.net. Here's a taste of what to expect:
I think it’s more important to see somebody with my eyes
maybe I’ve just been unlucky
I think you have to be with that person
I don’t really know how to touch your soul over the phone?
I don’t really know what to say, I just thought I’d say hello
touch his heart, touch his soul
I’m really confused
is it though, is it?
I just wanted to say keep up the good work and have a nice christmas
I’m calling from another call centre in Glasgow
have you got my remote control?
oh my god it’s outrageous
about a quaint old map shop
a poem i have written
next week i’m delivering a paper to a very critical professor
