The Ridiculous Number of Smartphones Samsung Released Under J.K. Shin

By Gary Cutlack on at

Samsung's mobile division has a new man at the top, with J.K. Shin accepting a managerial reshuffle that sees him replaced as the day-to-day boss of its mobile team.

These are the phones that charted both Samsung and Android's rise to the top in the UK and beyond, moving from clunky matchbox models to the monsters people flop out in public today. We count 172, but please feel free to be an annoying know-it-all and let us know if there's one we missed.

Chances are you've got or had about three of those. Obviously not all of these were sold in all regions, but still. That's quite the output since Shin took charge in 2009. The new boss' first bit of advice might be "Slow down, everyone. Let's have a bit of quiet time." [NDTV]
