Tom Holland's Spider-Man Costume Will Be Different in Captain America: Civil War

Some hints about the forthcoming arrival of Spider-Man in the Marvel crossover movie franchise have dropped in to say hello, with one of the film's directors suggesting we should expect to see him looking a bit different. £20 says "darker" is the main change.

The comments came from the co-director of Captain America: Civil War Anthony Russo, who told Super Interessante of his plans. Plans being: "Tom Holland is an amazing Spider-Man, people will love him. It was a very experimental process, placing him with the other actors, especially with Downey Jr, we had to learn as we worked. And we're very happy with the final result. We're still working on a few things, like the costume. He's not ready yet because so much will be produced with special effects."

The use of special effects for a costume is a bit worrying, if that is indeed the gist of the translated words. Perhaps this year will be the year Spider-Man goes full spider, with eight legs, loads of eyes and those weird prong things they have to eat with, seeing as anything's possible when CG is involved.

"The film will show a mix of what everyone is waiting for with a little twist. So yeah, that's all I can say," Russo added. [Super Interessante via Den of Geek]
