Internet People Are Far Too Excited About This Half-Pint Glass

By Aatif Sulleyman on at

Half-pints just aren't cool. There’ll always be something slightly shameful about sidling up to a bar, quietly muttering your order, being made to repeat it, picking up your admittedly-cute glass, dodging seemingly-incredulous fellow drinkers as you make your way back to your table and sip away like a child at a fake tea party.

That’s why Simon Lambert & Sons pub in Wexford has caused such a splash with its own version of the half-pint glass. As you can see from the image above, it looks like a regular pint glass that's been sliced down the middle. The reaction to its unveiling has been way over the top, but hey, that’s the Internet. Guess what. You can buy it online for £8.99! The whole affair sort of reminds me of the excitement triggered by the launch of the Fabric waterbottle. [Daily Edge]
