Today in “amazing ideas the internet had” we bring you an experiment that is without a doubt the best way to usher in 2016. One sparkler is fun, but 10,000 igniting at the same time? That’s a science experiment you have to see.

Every kid has wondered what it would be like to fill a bucket with thousands of match heads. It’s the primary school equivalent of the Manhattan Project. But few of us have postulated doing the same with sparklers. And that’s too bad, because the results are spectacular. Sparklers have always been the lame duck little sibling to fireworks, but not any more.
