Samsung’s released a teaser of Rink, it’s upcoming motion controllers for the Gear VR, and it looks vaguely like a set of unthreatening knuckledusters. It appears to have been inspired by the Wii controller, but should be significantly more capable.
With Rink, Gear VR users will be able to use their hands to interact with virtual reality content, navigate menus and even type on virtual keyboards. Samsung says that sensors in the device will allow you to both click and drag, though we'll learn more about Rink over the next few days.
The South Korean company will be showing Rink off at CES, and may even beat big rivals Oculus to market. The company's own Touch VR controllers have been delayed until at least the second half of 2016. [TechCrunch]
