An alleged ‘live photo’ of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is making the rounds online, and it looks like the real thing. NWE posted the cheeky snap to Weibo this week, and the handset in the leak certainly fits the profile of the upcoming smartphone (curved edges, a screen, shininess).
As the Evan Blass leak below shows, S7 Edge is expected to be significantly larger than the 5.1-inch Galaxy S7, featuring a 5.5-inch, 2,560 x 1,440 AMOLED display, an Exynos 8890 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, depending on the market, 4GB of RAM and Android 6.0 Marshmallow with a TouchWiz topping. Both handsets will land on February 21 at MWC.

Recent reports also suggest that Samsung will endow the S7 and S7 Edge with always-on displays, which would essentially allow you to read the time without prodding your phone’s power button. The use of AMOLED technology will hopefully ensure that battery life doesn’t suffer too much as a result. [NowhereElse, IBT]
