Big-budget blockbusters that cost millions to make with hundreds of talented people working on them still manage to screw up all the time.
Whether these on-screen blunders occur because of editing or deleted scenes or just plain forgetfulness in not always clear, but the most embarrassing thing for directors and producers are when giant plot-holes are caused by such mishaps. Mishaps that that the film-makers hope we ignore.
It can be as silly as all the bad guys suddenly dying in The Avengers, the helpful eagles not dropping the dwarves closer to salvation in the The Hobbit, time travel working (or not?) in The Prisoner of Azkaban, or even what technology actually existed in Back to the Future III.
Here’s a list from Screen Rant detailing 10 silly plot holes that can’t be explained. The movies include:
- Star Trek
- The Avengers
- The Hobbit
- Iron Man 2
- Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban
- Iron Man
- Fast & Furious 6
- Back To The Future Part
- The Empire Strikes Back
