The 23-year-old star of Star Wars: The Force Awakens might be about to leap into another orgy of mental nerd fantasy scenarios, thanks to rumours suggesting she's one of the contenders to lead a future reboot of the Tomb Raider film franchise.
According to Deadline, Ridley is but one of several ladies currently being pored over in great detail by lip-licking executives at co-producers Warner Bros and MGM, who are said to have had "conversations" with the star about if she'd be up for it or not -- but haven't yet gone so far as to make any full and final contractual offers.
Although, surely it's about time they considered a male actor for the part of Lara Croft? Bloody entrenched sexism. When's there ever going to be a film in which a male archaeologist played by someone who used to be in Star Wars has adventures around the world while searching for lost historical artefacts, eh?
