It's a sad day for UK games development. Lionhead Studios, the brains behind classic Xbox series Fable, is to be shuttered by owners Microsoft, Kotaku UK has learned.
Born from the ashes of another classic UK games studio, Bullfrog (responsible for the early Syndicate and Theme Hospital games), and formerly headed up by divisive ames guru Peter Molyneux, the company has seemed to flounder, following Microsoft's purchase in 2006. The studio's next slated game, Xbox One title Fable Legends, will now cease its protracted development, too.
