Huawei’s approaching the launch of its next flagship kind of weirdly. A couple of days after the company’s president appeared to accidentally leak the P9, Huawei has posted a selection of official pictures of the handset online.
Though we haven’t been treated to a full-body shot, the gallery confirms that the Huawei P9 will feature a dual camera setup and a square fingerprint scanner. While the camera arrangement had long been suspected, numerous leaks suggested that the P9 was all about a circular fingerprint scanner. Oh, how we were misled. It also looks like the handset will be an all-metal number.
Oppomart, which jumped the gun spectacularly by posting all of the P9’s specs online last week, says the phone will feature a 5.2-inch, Full HD display, a 2GHz Kirin 950 octa-core processor with 3GB of RAM, a 12-megapixel dual camera setup and a 3,000mAh battery. There are going to be little and large siblings too, which you can read up on here. [Huawei via GSMArena]
