Google Street View Car Catches Itself Speeding in Glasgow

By Gary Cutlack on at

One of Google's Street View cars managed to capture photographic evidence of the tech giant's local driver hammering it down an urban street in Glasgow while breaking the law, with a digital roadside display tracking the vehicle at 37mph in a 30mph zone.

The road traffic crime in progress along St George’s Road in Glasgow's west end is all clearly visible on Street View, where, to make matters worse, the driver's seen about to crash into a 20mph School Zone -- although subsequent frames of the image show no children were flung through the air by the maverick driver.

The images were captured in 2015. The driver will be miles away by now. [Scotsman]
