This Game of Thrones Algorithm Predicts All of the Characters' Deaths

It really is a wonder that Game of Thrones has any major characters left. It seems to break our hearts on a weekly basis, but still we keep coming back for more. If the shock of spilt blood is too much for you -- you’re really watching the wrong show -- the Game of Thrones death-predicting algorithm should give you plenty of warning before the axe falls.

A group of Technical University of Munich students have created a site called ‘A Song of Ice and Data’, which uses machine-learning algorithms to predict the likelihood of characters’ deaths. The system has reportedly correctly predicted 74% of character deaths in the show to date, which sounds like something to be impressed by. Then again: paragraph one.

Right now, the site says that Tommen Baratheon has a 97% chance of kicking the bucket, with Stannis Baratheon (96%) and Daenerys Targaryen (95%) right behind. Sansa seems to be safe though, with a death rating of 3%. And what of Jon Snow? Just an 11% chance of already being dead.
