Google Blew Radiohead's Hype by Selling A Moon Shaped Pool Early

Radiohead fans had been reeling in anticipation of the band’s next album A Moon Shaped Pool, their first since 2011. Apparently, Google was as well, as the album appeared early on Google Play.

While the album was set for release yesterday at 5pm, many people reported seeing the download available in the early afternoon. While Google took it down, that didn’t stop some from hearing it early.

The band has been building hype for the new album since disappearing from the Internet last week and releasing a video for “Burn the Witch” around a day later. This is Radiohead’s ninth album and the first since 2011's “The King of Limbs.”

It has since been released, and is now available for anyone to purchase.
