Keep Your New iPad Away From the iOS 9.3.2 Update

It's available to download right now, but we’d recommend swerving the iOS 9.3.2 update for now, at least if you own a 9.7-inch iPad Pro. There have been numerous consumer reports of the device freezing after getting on board with the latest version of Apple’s operating system.

What’s especially odd is the fact that the message that’s popping up on unlucky iPads -- Error 56 -- refers to a hardware issue. It also advises users to plug the iPad into iTunes, but that doesn’t seem to be making any difference.

Apple’s error code support document advises users to install the latest version of iTunes, check for issues with third-party security software and attempt a restore. Twice.
