Strangely-confusing name aside, Star Wars fans are all aboard the Rogue One battleship, with the first trailer for the movie teasing pleasured moans out of geeks the world over. Which is why it’s so important that I tell you this post is filled with potentially life- movie-ruining SPOILERS. Scroll down at your peril.

Sample pages from the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Visual Story Guide -- which is still a work in progress -- have shed light on the movie, revealing character names, vehicles and a pair of alien members of the Rebel crew.

Rogue One, not Rogue Wars. Rogue One, not Rogue Wars. Rogue One, not Rogue Wars. Rogue One, not Rogue Wars. Rogue One, not Rogue Wars. Rogue One, not Rogue Wars. Rogue One, not Rogue Wars. Rogue One, not Rogue Wars. Rogue One, not Rogue Wars. Rogue One, not Rogue Wars. Rogue One, not Rogue Wars.

Last chance to look away.

Okay, these are the characters detailed in the leaked pages:

Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) - A highly skilled soldier and warrior
Captain Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) - A Rebel Alliance Officer
Baze (Jiang Wen) - A freelance assassin
K-250 (probably Alan Tudyk) - An enforcer droid who joins the Rebel cause
Bodhi (Riz Ahmed) - A Rebel soldier
Pao* (Unknown) - A fierce warrior
Chirrut (Donnie Yen) - A spiritual warrior
Bistan* (Unknown) - A fierce warrior
Director Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn) - Director of the Imperial military

* = Non-human

Ultimate super-villain Darth Vader, who we all expected to play a part in the film anyway, also makes multiple appearances in the book, all-but-confirming his Rogue One appearance, while the Imperial TIE Striker and the slick-looking Rebel Starfighter that apparently “balances speed with the firepower of proton torpedo launchers” are highlighted as new eye-candy for the fake vehicle-fetishists amongst you.

The movie’s out on December 16th, so there’s still time to forget all of the above. [JediBibliothek via IGN]
