Sony president Andrew House has just confirmed the existence of the PlayStation Neo, a souped-up version of the PS4, and says it will be out this autumn.
No specific price details have yet been revealed, but House says it will be “more expensive” than the current model and will be targeted at hardcore gamers who own a 4K television set.
"It is intended to sit alongside and complement the standard PS4," he told the FT. "We will be selling both [versions] through the life cycle. All games will support the standard PS4 and we anticipate all or a very large majority of games will also support the high-end PS4."
Despite the timing of the announcement, the Neo won't actually be making an appearance at E3 2016 next week. Autumn comes straight after summer, you know Sony? Give us a taste of the action. [FT via Neogaf]
