If in doubt, virtual reality-ify it. Bethesda has opened the floodgates to countless potential VR re-releases by revealing that a VR version of the magnificent Fallout 4 will be coming to the HTC Vive next year.
The surprise announcement has gone down a storm, though the company hasn’t yet dropped any specific details. Not that we really need any. The mere thought of a VR Pip-Boy is more than enough to salivate over, and then there’s the entire freaking wasteland to consider. Weekends will disappear in an instant.
If VR Fallout 4 turns out to be anything but a triumph, we’ll all be heartbroken. No pressure.
Three new DLCs (trailer above) for regular Fallout 4 players have been outed too: Contraptions Workshop, Vaultec Workshop and Nuka World. All of them are coming this summer, with the former out next week, the latter out in August and Vaultec Workshop gearing up for a July release.
As if that wasn’t enough, Bethesda’s E3 conference also teased an upcoming VR version of Doom, though neither a platform nor a release date were specified. You can catch up with all of the action at Kotaku UK.
