When I say ‘iPhone’, you say ‘rumour’...
And so on. Fresh goss suggests Apple is set to drop ‘Space Gray’ in favour of ‘Deep Blue’ for the iPhone 7, and it’s important to report this because people care. Macotakara, which quotes sources from Apple’s Chinese supply chain, is to blame for the latest round of rumours in this tiresome saga.
The move would make sense though. The company only offers silver, space grey, gold and rose gold models at present -- that’s essentially two shades of grey and two shades of gold. I’m going to say it: I don’t think any of the current colour schemes are especially alluring.
Everything no doubt comes down to iPod sales. A blue iPod Touch already exists and is probably doing alright compared to the other ones this year.
Yeah, I think a dark blue iPhone would look nice. Though that happened to good old plain black? Why isn’t that a thing anymore? The black iPhone 4S looked lovely. I imagine red would do well too, because people would feel like they were holding a mini Ferrari in their hands. Brown? Mustard yellow? It’s about time they became mainstream. Come on hipsters, make it happen. [Macotakara via Mashable]
