The Royal Mail has delivered a fantastic new excuse for failing to deliver things on time -- attacking seagulls making streets unsafe for posties to tread.
According to BBC Cumbria, a faction of angrier than usual gulls is to blame for some people not getting their internet shopping on the right day and their lives therefore being ruined and nothing ever being fair, with one home owner receiving a notice apologising for not visiting a house to make deliveries the previous day due to "SEAGULLS."

The Royal Mail confirmed that this was indeed the case, saying: "Royal Mail would like to apologise that we were unable to deliver to four addresses in Maryport on Tuesday due to swooping attacks by seagulls. Normal deliveries resumed on Wednesday. The safety of our people is paramount to Royal Mail." [Twitter via Telegraph]
