He's done the whole superhero thing with Batman and he's taken us to the edge of the universe in Interstellar. Now über-director Christopher Nolan is turning his attentions to days gone by – and specifically to the Second World War with his new film Dunkirk. And he's taking One Direction popstar Harry Styles with him.
Styles' role has yet to be revealed (set photos show him to be some sort of allied soldier), but he'll be making his bigscreen debut alongside an all star cast which includes Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Kenneth Branagh and Aneurin Barnard.
The film itself is expected to focus around the titular battle of Dunkirk, which took place between May 26th and June 4th 1940, and saw Belgian, British and French forces surrounded by the German army.
