The Night Tube Will Run This Weekend (But You Can't Ride it Yet)

By Aatif Sulleyman on at

The Night Tube is launching… this month!? Crikey, it’s actually happening. Almost a year after the service was originally supposed to be introduced -- nice work, Boris -- the Night Tube is set to roll into action this weekend. Sort of.

Test runs will be held this Friday and Saturday on the Central and Victoria lines, so staff can work out whether or not the service needs to be delayed again.

Customers won’t be able to have a go until the Night Tube officially launches on the two lines next weekend, with six trains set to run every hour between 00.30am and 5.30am.

The Piccadilly, Jubilee and Northern (with eight trains per hour) lines will receive the 24-hour treatment in autumn. Now will TfL's drunken fears come true? [Independent]
