Don’t even think about playing the clip below on your phone. Out of respect. In fact, if you’re at home and on your laptop, we’d recommend taking your mobile out of the room before hitting the play button.
That, horrified viewers, is the most disturbing iPhone charger in existence. The brain-child of Japanese artist Mio Izawa, it’s the ideal gift for anyone who’s wronged you this year. At least it would be if it wasn't for the terrifying price tag. The monstrosity is listed on Etsy for £4,664.72. Here's how it's described:
The iPhone cable shaped as an umbilical cord, which keeps moving while it's charging. Now people bring their iPhone all the time in their lives. I designed the looking of this cable as an umbilical cord, which mother feeds energy to her baby. It moves as if it's trying to introduce iPhone into, just like to express an irony to people's dependance on iPhone.
What’s worse? The umbilical cord-like wire, flabby skin, the sucky mouth, those weird gyrations or the thought of it launching itself at your face while you sleep? The soundtrack doesn’t exactly help matters.
