Feel At Home, Three’s holiday service that lets you use your phone abroad without incurring those freakishly high roaming charges, is about to get better. Though it’s always been a major draw for me, as a fairly regular visitor of Germany I’ve always lamented its big, meaty, Deutschland-shaped hole.
That’ll change in September. The mobile operator has added 24 additional European countries to its Feel At Home roll. These are:
- Czech Republic
- Isle of Man
- Channel Islands
No more need to spunk a fiver of valuable booze money on a Euro Internet Pass in the middle of a foreign dance floor at 5 in the morning. Hurrah!
That said, roaming charges are set to be abolished across the EU in 2017, and customers will no doubt feel slightly annoyed that the changes will only come into effect after the summer holidays are over. [Engadget]
