EE's New Scheme Basically Confirms the iPhone 7 Won't Have a Headphone Jack

Without jumping the gun, EE’s thrown its weight behind the many rumours and all-but-confirmed that the iPhone 7 won’t feature a headphone jack.

The mobile network has just launched an ‘Add To Plan’ scheme, which lets you ADD a bunch of devices and accessories -- such as VR headsets, fitness trackers, smartwatches and Bluetooth headphones -- TO your existing PLAN. Very well-named.

Simply put, the price of the gadgets you go for will be spread over an 11-month period, with the cost added to your monthly bill. Prices start at £3 per month, and EE says you’ll never be charged more than the retail price of an item.

Coincidental timing? We think not.

Though rumours suggest the iPhone 7 will either ship with a pair of wireless headphones or a Lightning-to-3.5mm adapter, EE’s banking on a lot of consumers opting to bag themselves a high-end Bluetooth set. Add to Plan is available to all customers taking out a new 24-month EE handset plan.
