London's Northern Line Commuters are Most Likely to Soil the Seats

The Northern Line, which overseas readers may not realise links the south part of London with Manchester and Scotland, is the dirtiest and most disrespected of all London Underground links according to TfL.

Transport for London's data on dirtying takes into account  2,316 incidents of vandalism and anti-social behaviour reported across the network, with 389 of those happening on the Northern Line. 64 fights were reported -- some with station staff -- 52 problems were caused by drunk people, numerous cases of deposited vomit were discovered and several people set off the train alarms as some sort of stupid real-world banter trigger.

The Jubilee Line was second baddest with 350 anti-social things being reported over the year. Anti-bad-things enforcement boss Steve Burton thinks this is a low enough ratio given how many people get shuffled through the system each day, saying: "The Tube network is a safe, low-crime environment with very few people ever experiencing or witnessing crime," adding that the goal is to eradicate all anti-social behaviour from the tube, as if we don't all turn into animals after a day of work and an evening of lager.
