Pokémon Go was never going to be the end to Nintendo's mobile gaming plans. Now Tim Cook and Shigeru Miyamoto have revealed that the much-loved Mario will be coming to iOS devices in the form of Super Mario Run.
It's a 2D sidescroller that has you take control of the Italian plumber, forcing you to run along and finish the level before time runs out. Along the way you have to avoid obstacles, enemies, and collect coins.
There's also a multiplayer mode called Toad Rally, where you have to beat other peoples' high score.
Mario stickers will also be available on iMessage pretty soon, which is great for people who don't actually like talking to each other.
We don't know when the game will be available to download, but apparently it'll be available before Christmas. It's also a paid app, meaning you won't have to worry about any meddlesome pay-to-win microtransactions.
I doubt it won't also be available on Android at some point, as well.
