God bless the Nexus 7. Google’s much-loved 7-incher looks set to be revamped once more, with tech tipster Evan Blass reporting that a third iteration of the tablet is in the works.
Google's Huawei-built 7-inch tablet, with 4GB RAM, on track for release before the end of the year.

If it arrives before the end of 2016, as Blass suggests it will, we imagine it would make a rather lovely stocking-filler. The 2012 and 2013 versions of the Nexus 7 were both cheap and great to use, and we hope the next in line (if it exists, of course) brings with it more of the same.
However, the steady rise in price of Google’s Nexus-branded smartphones over recent years suggests it’ll be a tad more expensive than what came before it.
Asus did a stellar job building the other two (my 2013 model is still in good nick and works like a dream), so it’ll be interesting to see if Huawei can step up to the plate. The Chinese giant has upped its design game of late, so the 2016 Nexus 7 could prove a real looker. [Twitter]
