Apple's decision to ditch the headphone jack on the iPhone 7 hasn't gone down so well. Already people have been looking for ways to avoid using the in-box adaptor, with some idiots going so far as drilling holes into the bottom of their phones. Now there's an available solution, thanks to a new Indiegogo campaign.
We've already seen one attempt at this before, but now Fuze has put their version up on Indiegogo for people to buy. The case, which is available for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, is due to be shipped this December.
In addition to bringing back a proper wire-free headphone jack, The Fuze case includes a battery pack (2,400 mAh and 3,600 mAh for the 7 and 7 Plus respectively) and promises to maintain the compact profile iPhones are known for. It also means you can listen to music and charge up your phone without having to buy yet another dongle.
The Fuze case is available in white, black, blue, gold, and
pink rose gold, and if you hurry you can get an Early Bird edition for $49/£38 plus shipping. A second Early Bird tier will cost $59/£45, and once those are gone you'll have to pay full price ($69/£53).
Obviously all the usual crowdfunding caveats apply here, so be aware that there are risks involved. Still, if you like iPhones but don't want to compromise with your audio devices, this could be a pretty decent compromise. [Indiegogo]
