Official-looking pictures of the upcoming Huawei Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro have been published by VentureBeat ahead of their official unveiling next month.
The 5.9-inch handsets are set to launch on November 3rd, and they look kind of familiar. The flat Mate 9 resembles a Mate 8 crossed with a Galaxy Note 5, while curved-screen Pro looks like a cross between the Mate 8 and Galaxy Note Edge.
You’ll be shocked to learn that the Pro will pack slightly superior specs. It’s expected to feature a 5.9-inch, 2,560 x 1,440 curved display, a Kirin 960 processor, 4GB of RAM and a similar dual-lens camera as the one in the Huawei P9.
Though the regular Mate 9 will be largely the same, it’ll settle for a flat, Full HD screen.
VentureBeat reports that the only the Pro version of the Mate 9 will work with Google's Daydream VR headset, though we’ve also been hearing that the Pro won't be sold beyond China. [VentureBeat]
