HTC's Teamed up With Under Armour For an Android Wear Smartwatch

By Aatif Sulleyman on at

Undeterred by the fact that nobody actually needs one, it looks like HTC’s decided to built a smartwatch. The ‘Halfbeak’ has been leaked on Weibo, and the presence of an Under Armour logo suggests it’s going to break the mould by... tracking your steps and heart rate. Probably.

As you can see, it has a round display, what appear to be rubber straps and at least two buttons. Lovely stuff. In all honestly, the Under Armour branding is the most interesting part of it.

The Weibo leak is more image-heavy than anything, but according to earlier reports, it uses a 360 x 360 display and runs Android Wear. There’s no word yet on when it could make an official appearance, but we doubt anyone’s especially interested anyway. [TechTastic via 9to5Google]
