The Netflix Halloween Doorbell Takes Some Building

By Aatif Sulleyman on at

Netflix has decided to do a Halloween thing, because everyone’s trying to be cool by saying they're all obsessed with the music from Stranger Things, and also because people hate being interrupted by greedy little shits demanding food/money when they're trying to watch terrible horror movies. Mainly the Stranger Things bit though.

The company’s published a fairly lengthy set of instructions on how to build your own Netflix Halloween Doorbell, which will hang over your own doorbell, play a couple of hearty screams and some music from your favourite Netflix show when it senses people approaching your door, tell them you definitely won’t be answering it, and finally point them in the direction of some sweeties.

Leaving you to sit inside, pretend like you're enjoying yourself, peek through your net curtains every so often, and get all huffy when you realise those pesky kids aren’t to be trusted, because they took off with your entire stash of sugary stuff. You’d never have done that at their age.

You can find the full, offputtingly lengthy set of instructions here. For something that's supposed to help you continue being lazy, it's a hell of a lot of effort to go through. Oh, and if you don’t own a 3D printer, don't bother. [Make]
