Alternative Porn Categories Are Facing a UK Ban

‘Non-conventional’ internet porn is set to be banned in the UK, which may or may not positively impact the nation’s productivity.

Any porn that wouldn’t be certified for commercial DVD sale by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) would be targeted if the proposal in the Digital Economy Bill goes through parliament. It shouldn’t, because everyone knows politicians are the kinkiest so-and-sos in the country.

Though a definitive list hasn’t yet been presented, reports claim that pictures and videos depicting, ahem, alternative sex acts, such as spanking, whipping, caning that leaves marks, urination, female ejaculation, menstruation and public bonking, will be off limits… even if they’re perfectly legal for consenting over-16s to perform.

ISPs would be tasked with enforcing the ban, which would see multiple categories on porn sites shuttered. Pornhub, for instance, currently features bondage, fetish, ‘peeing and pissing’, public and ‘squirt’ categories, all of which I assume are popular amongst different groups of users.

A spokeswoman for the BBFC confirmed to the Guardian that online porn will be subjected to the same restrictions as offline porn.

“In making this assessment, we will apply the standards that we apply to pornography that is distributed offline,” she said. “If a website fails on either of these [age verification or obscene content] tests then a notification of non-compliance will be sent to the site.” [Guardian]
