This Wiimote-Controlled Raspberry Pi Electric Skateboard Can Hit 30km/h

A Cambridge kid who I’m absolutely not even slightly in awe of has created his own Raspberry Pi-powered electric skateboard, which has a range of over 10km and is capable of hitting speeds of 30km/h -- that’s around 19mph.

Matt, better known through his YouTube channel as The Raspberry Pi Guy, started out with a £4 Raspberry Pi Zero, which he hooked up to a board from Sickboards, a Wiimote that controls speed and acceleration, a battery and a motor from Alien Power System.
