By Gizmodo UK on at

Getting yourself sorted with virtual reality, proper virtual reality, is a pricey endeavour. If you're going for the PC experience, rather than the PlayStation, you might want 5o take advantage of this Oculus Rift deal while you still can. At the moment CurrysJohn Lewis, and PC World are offering a £50 discount on each headset. It's not a huge discount, but that does mean it's now £499. Sadly this is only for the headset, and doesn't include the Touch controllers or the high-end machine needed to play it. You'll have to buy those separately.

On the cheaper end of the spectrum is this Smart Ultra 7 phone from Vodafone, which is currently £114.99 at argos.co.uk. It's got a 5.5-inch HD screen, 16GB of storage, microSD support up to 256GB, 2GB of RAM, a 2,960 mAh battery, a headphone jack, Android 6.0.1, and all the other smartphone caveats. You will need rto purchase a £10 top up, though, so bear that in mind.
