Peer-Reviewed Rap Warns President Trump About The Dangers of Climate Change

By James O Malley on at

Today is an inauspicious day, news footage from which will likely feature in the opening scenes of future history documentaries that are titled things like "A warning from history", but now one last attempt to reach out to the President-Elect is being made on probably the most important issue facing our species: Climate Change.

Canadian rapper Baba Brinkman has produced the above song and video. Titled Erosion, this isn't just your standard rap about mom's spaghetti or whatever - it's actually been peer reviewed by Dr Gary Yohe, a Professor of Environmental Studies and recipient of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for his work with the IPCC.

This isn't Brinkman's first attempt either: He has previously produced an entire off-Broadway show titled The Rap Guide to Climate Chaos and has previously tackled other scientific topics such as neuroscience and Darwinian evolution.

Here's hoping that President Trump pays attention.
