For those of us still playing Pokémon Go, the remaining blank spaces in the Pokédex are becoming vexing. Until the next generation of 'mon is added to the game - or they let us trade - most dedicated players have just a few empty spaces left and next to no way of filling them.
Well, if you're playing in London, that just changed. A new map has been created that shows you exactly where the rare spawns are, what time they appeared and even their IV rating. We've been using it for the last few days since its announcement on Reddit, and have already caught Pokémon that have been eluding us since the beginning.
By default, the map only shows rares, but you can zoom in and change the filter settings if you really need another Pidgey. There's also a Twitter account that announces rares in real time (namely Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Arcanine, Alakazam, Exeggutor, Chansey, Gyarados, Lapras, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Aerodactyl, Snorlax, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Dragonite, Muk, Machamp, Lickitung, Golem and Rhydon. It also looks for Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo and Mew, but of course they haven't shown up yet).
In the past, real-time maps like this have been shut down either by legal issues or API problems, but so far this one's staying strong. Fingers crossed if it does get taken down, it's not until after we find a damn Dragonite.
