Ten years after An Inconvenient Truth made us all stop leaving the heating on when we go out, the trailer for the follow-up just dropped – and guess which world leader features heavily?
With the subtitle 'Truth To Power,' Al Gore's upcoming feature will once again remind us all that climate change is real and serious, and we need to pull our socks up:
Vice President Al Gore continues his tireless fight travelling around the world training an army of climate champions and influencing international climate policy.
Cameras follow him behind the scenes – in moments both private and public, funny and poignant -- as he pursues the inspirational idea that while the stakes have never been higher, the perils of climate change can be overcome with human ingenuity and passion.
The trailer alone is powerful and stirring, and makes us think the full film will be something like a feature-length version of the Earth Song video.
Still, it's not just the meteorological climate that's been changing since the first film came out. It's fair to say we were a lot more optimistic about "human ingenuity and passion" back then – whereas when the sequel hits this summer, we'll be pleasantly surprised if we've still got a planet to watch it on.
